Costs listed are estimates based on average project costs. Page costs are for 12-point, Times New Roman font, double spaced, APA formatted pages. One page in this format is generally 200-300 words.

To provide an accurate quote, I need to view the document to be edited and have a thorough understanding of your needs and expectations. Prior to receiving any document, I will provide a written commitment that all documents sent to me will remain the sole property of the author, and I will not share the document or its content in any form unless the author sends an explicit request to do so. After reviewing the document, I will email a written quote for consideration.

Writing Coaching

Writing coaching includes

an initial consultation call to be sure I understand your writing and feedback needs
a full reading of submitted materials
comprehensive, written feedback on writing organization, clarity, and conciseness
an optional 30-minute follow-up phone or video call.

Estimated Costs

$4 per page of writing (approx. 250 words) for the initial review
$2 per page of writing (approx. 250 words) for all subsequent reviews of the same document

A final cost will be quoted once the document is received.

Moving From Coaching to Editing/Formatting

If a client decides to later request editing/formatting services for a document that has been reviewed for writing coaching, editing/formatting will be done at a discounted rate, in relation to how much additional work is needed to meet the writer’s formatting goals.

Copyediting

For complete or nearly complete drafts, I offer comprehensive, line-by-line edits for grammar, syntax, and punctuation.

This service is available for any written work and is not specific to academic writing.

Editing includes

a comprehensive line-by-line review for grammar, syntax, and punctuation edits
edits for and feedback on formal English and academic language
written recommendations on clarity and conciseness
edits to meet word or page count requirements

Providing full edits is an interactive, iterative process, particularly for academic documents. Due to academic integrity guidelines, I cannot write or significantly change/delete material. There are some items that will require the author to make the changes.

Estimated Costs: $10/page (approx. 250 words)

A final cost will be quoted once the document is received.

If you are engaged in academic work, I can provide editing and APA (6th or 7th edition) formatting.

Editing and formatting includes

a comprehensive line-by-line review for grammar, syntax, and punctuation edits
edits for and feedback on formal English and academic language
written recommendations for clarity and conciseness
APA formatting (6th or 7th edition) and/or institutional or journal formatting
retrieval of missing or inaccurate reference information for all references that can be located with the information provided
addition and formatting of page numbers, a Table of Contents, a List of Tables, and a List of Figures

Reference Checking

For academic writing, all citations should have a matching reference listing, and all references listed should have a matching citation. Checking for for these matches can be a tedious, time consuming process, especially for documents with extensive reference lists. I can complete this process for you, leaving you with a easy-to-follow list of which sources or information can be removed and which are missing from your document.
